Pay-monthly websites

A proper website, without the bill that stops you getting one

Most small firms in Witney know they need a better website. What stops them is being asked for £3,000 before anyone has even started. Paying monthly removes that problem.

What “pay monthly” actually means here

Some agencies use the phrase to mean a payment plan on a build fee, then bill you separately for everything else. That isn’t what this is.

One fee, everything in it

  • Design and build of the site itself
  • UK hosting, SSL certificate and domain
  • Daily backups and security monitoring
  • Changes and updates every month
  • Support by phone and email
  • Google Business Profile and Search Console setup

What isn’t in it

We’d rather be straight with you than surprise you later. These sit outside the monthly fee:

  • Stock photography licences, if you want paid images
  • Third-party tools you choose to add, such as a booking system subscription
  • Paid advertising budget, if you run Google Ads
  • A complete redesign inside the minimum term — small changes are included, starting again isn’t

Is it the right choice for you?

Paying monthly suits most small businesses. It doesn’t suit everyone, and we’ll tell you if it isn’t right for you.

Pay monthly if…

  • You’d rather not take £3,000 out of the business in one go
  • You want the site kept up to date without thinking about it
  • You don’t have anyone in-house who can handle hosting or updates
  • You want one person to call when something breaks

Buy outright if…

  • You have the cash and want to own the asset from day one
  • You have someone in-house who can maintain it
  • You’re planning to hold the same site for five years or more
  • You need full access to the code for another system

The honest maths

Here’s roughly what each route costs a small Witney business over the first three years.

Illustrative comparison for a typical 8-page business site. Real figures vary — we’ll give you exact numbers for your project.
One-off build elsewhere Business plan, monthly
Year one£3,000 build + £200 hosting£900
Year two£200 hosting + ad-hoc change fees£900, changes included
Year three£200 hosting + ad-hoc change fees£900, changes included
Three-year total£3,600 plus every change billed£2,700, all in
Cash needed on day one£3,000£0

Where a one-off build wins

Past about year five, owning the site outright is usually cheaper — provided you’re happy to arrange hosting, security and updates yourself, and provided the design still holds up. If that’s you, say so and we’ll quote you for a one-off build instead. We’d rather sell you the right thing.

Pay-monthly questions

What is a pay monthly website?

It bundles the design, the build, hosting, security and ongoing support into one monthly fee instead of a large upfront invoice. You get the same custom-built site — you just spread the cost across a minimum term of 12 months.

Is it cheaper than paying upfront?

Over the first year or two, almost always yes, once you count the hosting and change fees a one-off build doesn’t include. Over five years or more, owning outright can work out lower if you’re happy to look after it yourself.

The table above sets both out. We’re not going to pretend monthly wins in every scenario.

Is there a contract?

Yes — a 12-month minimum term. That’s what allows us to waive the upfront build fee, since we’re carrying the cost of the build ourselves for the first year.

After that it runs month to month with 30 days’ notice. No exit fee, no automatic 12-month re-lock.

What happens to my site if I stop paying?

Your domain name and all your content are yours, and we hand them over without argument. The site itself comes offline, because the design and build stay with us while you’re on a plan.

If you want to keep it, you can buy it outright at any point after the minimum term and we’ll migrate it wherever you like.

Can I change plan later?

Yes, up or down, at the end of any month. Businesses often start on Starter and move to Business once they want a blog or more service pages.

Do you take on existing websites?

Yes. If your current site is decent and just needs hosting and looking after, our Hosting & Care plan is £15 a month and includes free migration.

If it needs rebuilding, that’s a normal monthly plan.
